5th Annual LSUS Hibernia Pilots Golf Classic
raises $15,000 for alumni, athletic scholarships

A combination of perfect weather, a great golf club, loyal business leaders, and dedicated LSUS staff members, alumni and volunteers, resulted in record proceeds for the 5th Annual LSUS Hibernia Pilots Golf Classic. The tournament, which is the primary fundraising event for Alumni Association and Athletic Department scholarships, netted more than $15,000.

Olde Oaks Golf Club, Hal Sutton’s first signature course and a member of the Louisiana Audubon Golf Trail, hosted the Classic.

More than 140 golfers lined up for a noon shotgun start and an afternoon full of contests, often-needed Mulligans and a silent auction.

The Alumni Association is indebted to the businesses that sponsored teams and provided prizes and auction items. Their support, as well as the participation of LSUS staff and alumni volunteers, ensured the success of the tournament.
