Electronic Books
Along with physical books shelved within the library, searches in the library catalog with retrieve records for electronic books via NetLibrary's website.
- When you find a record for a NetLibrary eBook, you can browse the book without a logon ID/Password.
- In order to "check out" a NetLibrary eBook, you must first create a user account, then you must log in with your user name and password.
- You must create an account from a computer on the LSUS campus.
- Once you have created an account, you can log in and read books or check out new books from a computer off campus.
Records for NetLibrary eBooks that you encounter in the library catalog will look like this:

Click on the web address (at the very bottom of the record, following HTTP) in order to go directly to the eBook record in NetLibrary.
The NetLibrary eBook record will look like this:

From this screen, you can browse the eBook (no user name or password is needed). If you wish to check out an eBook, you must first create an account from a computer on campus. You may then log in and check out the eBook.
