The Reference Department on the 1st floor of the library contains computers to access the library's catalog and journal indexes. Together with traditional reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, handbooks, directories) and trained reference librarians available to assist, it is a logical starting point for research.

Reference librarians are on duty at the Reference Desk, also on the 1st floor, to assist you in finding materials, using government publications, searching the electronic journal indexes--or any of your research needs.

(The library will be closed Sun. - Mon., September 6 - 7, for Labor Day; and Thurs. - Fri., November 26 - 27, for Thanksgiving.)

Faculty interested in customized library instructional sessions for their class(es), may contact the appropriate library liaison / reference librarian. Please contact the librarian in advance (preferably two weeks or more).
