Walter O. Bigby Scholarship
Purpose:	Recognition of outstanding student in political science, English, history, or pre-law
Award value:	$1,000 ($500 per semester)
Major:	political science, English, history, or pre-law
Number awarded:	one
Selection Criteria:	Must have at least a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 or higher LSUS GPA, and must have completed and continue to complete at least 15 hours per year.
Recipient Selection:	Application: Through the College of Liberal Arts, either online or in person.
Retention Criteria:	Must continue to complete at least 15 hours per year. The recipient must be enrolled continuously through the fall and spring semesters of the scholarship period.
