Ron Sereg, an LSUS assistant professor of public relations, has received a 2005 Fulbright Grant that will take him to the far reaches of Northeastern Russia this spring.

The internationally recognized authority on Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) development and sustainability will travel to the Central Siberian city of Barnaul where he will assist a Russian university in developing its academic program in mass communication and public relations.

Sereg will work with the faculty and students at the Altai Academy of Law and Economics in Barnaul, a city with a population of 800,000. He will help develop the university’s academic program of public relations and mass communication and assist in a faculty development project. He will also guest lecture in public relations and mass communication to both graduate and undergraduate classes before returning to the U.S. in early June.

Sereg has worked with a large number of international organizations and NGOs in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Russian Federation and in Latin America
