International Lincoln Center for American
Studies
The comprehensive and multidisciplinary International
Lincoln Center American Studies is to enhance the Studies
offers a year-round cycle of events to faculty and the
community
through a variety of formats exploring the common them
of the American heritage and its relevance for today.
Founded in the fall of 1982, it is the largest privately
endowed program at LSU in Shreveport. The program has
been the recipient of several national, regional, state
and local awards, including a Cultural Olympiad designation.
Just as the American Studies cycle of events and offerings
encompass the calendar, its program sites encompass Shreveport,
Washington, D.C., and other selected locations as outreach
initiatives promoting the mission of LSU in Shreveport.
The Center has received multiple grants from the Louisiana
Endowment for the Humanities (LEH), Phi Kappa Phi (National
Honor Society), the Abraham Lincoln Association, and
the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.

The Institute for Human Services and Public Policy
The Institute offers a variety of academic programs,
including the American Humanics Certificate Program,
the Master of Science in Human Services Administration,
and the Master of Science in Health Care Administration.
The Institute also offers non-academic programs and
community services, including public opinion research
and analysis, the Red River Academy for Social Entrepreneurs,
the Nonprofit Connection, the Small Nonprofit Conference,
the International Nonprofit Project, the Nonprofit
Colloquium Series, the Health Care Colloquium, and
the Red River Summit.

Red River Regional Studies Center
The Red River Regional Studies Center pursues interdisciplinary
studies, research, and services directed toward all
aspects of the Red River region, with a special emphasis
on archival, historical, and social sciences services.
The components of the Center include the Library Archives,
the Oral History Program, the Pioneer Heritage Center,
and the Social Sciences Research and Analysis Project.
Also associated with the Center is the Journal of the
North Louisiana Historical Association.
