Nicole Peeler came to LSUS from the University of Edinburgh, where she read English Literature. Nicole specializes in contemporary transatlantic literature (especially Martin Amis and Philip Roth), masculinity studies, and cultural studies. She will be presenting this paper in February at the Southwest Texas Popular Culture and American Culture Association Convention in New Mexico, and she also has an article on Nietzsche's theory of ressentiment in Roth's When She Was Good forthcoming in the Philip Roth Studies Journal. Her first novel, Tempest Rising, will be published in Nov. '09 by Orbit Books.
