Mr. Hooper earned his Bachelor in Advertising Design in 1970 and a Masters in Design from Northwestern State University in 1972. Hooper joined the LSUS faculty in 1987 as an instructor for drawing, rendering, watercolor, basic painting, and advanced painting.

Mr. Hooper’s business experience includes Outdoor Designs at B&B Outdoor Advertising, Art Director for Svolos Advertising and Brenner Company, Freelance Illustrator and Professional Artist, Owner of Southern Gallery Publishing Company and Southern Galleries, and art appraisals for FDIC, State Farm Fire & Casualty Company, illustration and cover designs for Southern Outdoor, La. Life, Bassmaster Arkansas Outdoors, Louisiana Conservation, Wammes Corporation.

His teaching experience includes Southern Academy of Art, Centenary College and private instructor in watercolor, drawing, and painting.

Mr. Hooper has numerous paintings in corporate private collections, including Western Atlas Arabia, Dhahran Saudi Arabia, Ekaterinburg Russia, and Meridia Huron Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, Lakusta Compression, Calgary Alberta, Kremlin Governmental Building, Moscow, Russia, SACS Southern Association of College School, La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries, Arkansas Wildlife Federation, CHEVRON USA Mobil Oil, Boots Pharmaceutical, ArkLaGas, Barksdale Air Force Base, Wammes Corporation, Tri-State Medical, Hal Sutton, Inc., to name a few. He also has many paintings in public collections, and also one-man exhibitions. His gallery affiliations include Cranfaglion Gallery, West Hartford, Connecticut, Hadley Gallery, Bloomington, Minnesota, Riverside Galleries in Shreveport, Louisiana, to name a few.
