Ms. Morris received her B.G.S. in Humanities from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1994. In 1996 she completed her M.A. in English at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, and began teaching part-time for the English Department in 1997. In 2000, she joined the Department as a full-time Instructor. In addition, in 2002, she became the Director of the University's Writing Center.

Her areas of interest include pop culture and film studies. In addition, she has presented conference papers on the work of Flannery O'Connor and the film THE TRUMAN SHOW. Ms. Morris teaches freshman-level composition and sophomore-level literature classes.

Ms. Morris enjoys introducing students to the pleasures of studying literature and the benefits of critical analysis and effective written communication skills.
