The department of Fine Arts, Foreign Languages, and Humanities at LSUS offers baccalaureate degrees in Fine Arts (Visual Arts), French and Spanish. In addition, the department offers a wide range of courses in the areas of India Studies, Humanities, International Studies, Music, Philosophy, Religious Studies and Women’s Studies. All full-time faculty in this department hold the highest appropriate degrees providing a superior level of expertise in the curriculum. In the past ten years this department has been awarded over one million dollars in grants which have been used primarily for building laboratories. The Computer Graphics Lab, Foreign Language Audio Lab, Foreign Language Computer Lab and Piano Lab are among the finest Liberal Arts laboratories in the state. The department also makes possible and supports campus art exhibitions, a 60 member concert band, internship programs and curriculum minors.
