Cheryl White named SGA Professor of the Year
Dr. Cheryl White received the SGA-sponsored Professor of the Year Award. All registered students are given the opportunity to submit the name of one faculty member whom they believe is most worthy of the Professor of the Year title. White is a professor in residence and development coordinator for the LSUS Institute for Human Services and Public Policy. She also teaches in the Department of History and Social Sciences.
Two LSUS debaters win national championships
Two members of the LSUS Debate Team won national championships in 2004-05 International Public Debate Association Open and Novice competition, and the Debate Team finished the season as runner-up to national champion University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. The LSUS squad retained its No. 1 state ranking.
LSUS professor receives Fulbright Grant for Russian work
Ron Sereg, an LSUS assistant professor of public relations, has received a 2005 Fulbright Grant that will take him to the far reaches of Northeastern Russia this spring.
