The Communications Department at Louisiana State University in Shreveport offers degrees in Mass Communications and Speech. The faculty has real world communications experience in newspapers, television and public relations as well as the academic credentials to guarantee students a well-rounded academic experience. Students majoring in Mass Communications specialize in journalism, broadcast journalism, television or public relations and all have several courses in common so that all are well prepared for life in the changing world of journalism and public relations. Speech majors prepare for careers in which proficiency in that area is paramount, such as law or the theater. Please contact Dr. Jack Nolan, jnolan@lsus.edu for further information.
