These instructions are for Faculty/Staff members who wish to access their Z-drive from off campus.
Note: sFTP (secure ftp) has been chosen over ftp to provide a more secure connection. An sFTP client is required to make this connection to the server. Filezilla has been chosen for this instruction set, however any sFTP capable client will suffice.
1. Download and install the latest version of Filezilla from http://www.filezilla-project.org. (Windows XP,Vista, Mac OS X 10.5+, and Linux version are available free of charge)

2. In the QuickConnect Bar enter the Following:
Host= zdrive.lsus.edu Username=Your LSUS Username Password= Your LSUS Password Port= 22

4. You may be prompted to accept the security key. Check the box that says "Always trust this host, add this key to the cache." Click OK.
5. The right side of the Filezilla windows shows your remote files on the LSUS server. The left is your local machine.
4. To upload files and folders to your zdrive, Right Click files in your Local area (left side) and select Upload. (Alternately, you can drag and drop files, either to or from the remote server to your local machine).

5. To download files and folders from your zdrive, Right Click files in the Remote area (right side) and select Download. (Alternately, you can drag and drop files, either to or from the remote server to your local machine).

1. To allow Filezilla to save your login information, click the "Open the Site Manager" icon, (located directly below "File").
2. The site manager will open.
