Research and Analysis

The Institute offers a wide range of research services including surveys through phone, mail, and internet, focus groups, and data and statistical analysis.  A specialty of the Institute is program evaluation and applied research for local, state, regional and national organizations. This service is especially useful for organizations applying for federal grants or private foundation grants that require program evaluations. Assistance can also be given for United Way outcome measures and evaluations.

HCAHPS

The Institute for Human Services and Public Policy is an official HCAHPS vendor.  Our services in providing the HCAHPS survey to individual hospitals include obtaining discharge information, collecting survey data, and uploading data to the Quality Net Exchange website.  Hospitals should participate in the HCAHPS survey in order to receive their 2% Medicare reimbursement.  HCAHPS requires hospitals to report at least 300 completed surveys annually.  Small hospitals should sample all eligible discharges and complete as many surveys as possible.
