Certification Programs

Certificate in Service Learning

Service Learning provides students with a unique learning opportunity in addition to traditional classroom lecture.  Courses with Service Learning components are designed to give students hands on learning experiences in relationship with the classroom lecture.  Service Learning focuses on community service as it relates to a course curriculum.

Students interested in receiving a Certificate in Service Learning must meet with the coordinator and take 12 hours of course work with Service Learning components.  Some courses will be part of your core curriculum requirements, while others may be taken as electives.

For details and a list of participating courses, please email Stacey Martino at stacey.martino@lsus.edu.
