Position Duties:

Louisiana State University in Shreveport, a comprehensive urban AACSB-International accredited school located in a growing metropolitan area, invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing, to begin in August of 2010.   This position has been released from the general hiring freeze, and funding has been approved by the LSU Board of Supervisors.

In addition to a very favorable student climate and a collegial faculty, LSUS has one of the highest percentages of faculty with terminal degrees (78%) and offers the lowest student/teacher ratios (21 to 1) of any public university in Louisiana. The School of Business has approximately 900 undergraduate students enrolled as accounting, finance, general business, management, and marketing majors as well as approximately 90 graduate students enrolled in the MBA and ET-MBA programs and approximately 22 enrollees in the Master's in Health Care Administration program. The Management and Marketing department has 13 full-time faculty members.  

The successful candidate will be expected to teach, conduct research and publish, advise students, participate in program development and assessment, and contribute to university service and business outreach activities.   Specifically, the selected candidate will be expected to teach principles of marketing, sales, and either marketing research or a marketing elective at the undergraduate level.

Position Qualifications

We seek applicants with a Ph.D., D.B.A. (or A.B.D) in Marketing from an AACSB International-accredited school who exhibit a strong commitment to teaching and research.   Applicants with professional work experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience, a demonstrated record of achievement, and regional salaries.
