Office of Graduate Studies

Graduate Programs

Graduate Students must have a minimum 2.5 undergraduate grade point average on the undergraduate degree (on a 4.0 scale) or a 2.75 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) in the last 60 hours attempted in the degree program. In addition, a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) is required on any graduate work attempted. Students meeting these criteria will be unconditionally admitted to graduate study. Students must also meet specific program requirements listed below.


College of Business

Master of Business Administration
  • Submit an official copy of the GMAT score (450 or above) or GRE score (900 or above) GMAT scores are not required for the ET MBA

Executive Track Master of Business Administration

  • GMAT and GRE scores are not required for the ET MBA

Master of Health Administration

  • Submit an official copy of the GMAT score (450 or above) or GRE score (900 or above)

College of Education and Human Development

Master of Education (MED)
  • Teacher Certification (not required for Ancillary Counseling)
  • Official copy of the GRE score (800 or above on Verbal and Quantitative, or 750 with 3.5 in Writing)
Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (MEDCI)
  • Teacher Certification
  • Official copy of the GRE score (800 or above on Verbal and Quantitative, or 750 with 3.5 in Writing)
Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEDL)
  • Teacher certification
  • Three years of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Official copy of the GRE score (800 or above on Verbal and Quantitative, or 750 with 3.5 in Writing
  • Application to the Educational Leadership Program
  • Leadership Profile
  • Two letters of recommendation (one from principal with accompanying documentation)
  • Personal interview/presentation
Master of Science in Counseling Psychology
  • Submit scores of 800 or above on the GRE
  • Two letters of reference
  • Letter of intent
Specialist in School Psychology
  • Submit scores of 800 or above on the GRE
  • Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75
  • Three letters of reference
Master of Public Health
  • Submit an official copy of the GRE score of at least 1000
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal narrative
  • Personal interview
Master of Science in Kinesiology and Wellness
  • Submit an official copy of GRE score

College of Liberal Arts

Master of Liberal Arts
  • Interview with the program director
  • Submit a written statement of purpose
Master of Science in Human Services Administration
  • Submit an official copy of the GRE score
  • Interview with the program director
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Essay on desire to be in the program

College of Sciences

Master of Science in Computer Systems Technology
  • Submit GRE scores of a least 900
  • Interview with the program director
  • Submit a completed program application form
  • Demonstrate preparation
