Mission & Purpose of LSUS

Bruce Simon, LSUS Foundation 2006-08 president, presents the agenda for a special Foundation meeting held at the Cambridge Club in August. Seated immediately to the right of Simon is W. Marsala.Founded in 1967, Louisiana State University in Shreveport is a quality-focused academic institution that is people-centered, student-oriented, service-committed, and community-involved through instruction, scholarship and outreach. Further clarification of these core values and unifying principles highlights their importance to us as a Statement of Purpose:
