The LSUS Foundation is the fundraising arm for LSUS, supporting and enhancing the university by encouraging alumni and friends to provide private funds and other resources for the University's benefit. The Foundation also manages donated assets and provides volunteer leadership in support of the University's mission.

Board of Regents Approves Two New Master’s Degrees at LSUS (6/26/2008)
            The Louisiana Board of Regents approved two new master’s degrees, a Master of Public Health and a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Wellness, at the Academic and Student Affairs Committee Meeting Thursday morning.
 
LSUS Archives Announces the Opening of The Holoubek-Baker Letters (6/13/2008)
            LSUS Archives and Special Collections in Noel Library is pleased to announce the opening of The Holoubek-Baker Letters, 1937-1939:  An Annotated Collection.  The collection isedited and annotated by the Holoubeks’ daughter and noted journalist, Martha Holoubek Fitzgerald.
 
LSUS Graduates 279 at Spring Commencement (5/20/2008)

            Louisiana State University in Shreveport graduated 279 students at its spring commencement exercises last week at CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, Louisiana.  LSUS Chancellor Dr. Vincent Marsala awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from the College of Liberal Arts to Dr. Norman Kinsey, a long-time friend to the university.  LSUS also awarded Edie Broyles Williams, a 1988 graduate with a Bachelor of General Studies degree, with the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award.  The award is given to alumni who have exhibited exemplary leadership and service to LSUS and the community at large.
