| After you have registered for your classes for the semester and you have been awarded financial aid you must give your approval on COMPASS for your awards to be used to pay your tuition and fees.
The approval flag is available about four to three weeks before the first day of school. Students who are registered before the fee payment deadline (usually one week before the first day of school) must pay for their courses and/or give their approval to have their financial aid applied against their tuition and fees by 6:00 p.m. on Fee Payment Day. Failure to pay or apply your financial aid to your tuition and fees will result in your classes being dropped.
Students who register after the Fee Payment Deadline and before the last day to add a class must pay for their courses or give their approval for their Financial Aid to be applied at the time of registration.
If you are awarded Financial Aid after the semester has begun you must give your approval in order to receive a reimbursement.
The steps used to apply your financial aid to your tuition and fees are:
- Logon on to COMPASS using your student ID and password
- Click on Financial Aid Approval
- Click on the appropriate term (PLEASE NOTE: this process can only be done a few weeks before the fee payment deadline each semester.)
- Change “NO” to “YES”
- Click on “SAVE CHANGES”
