From North Conway we moved to Quechee, Vermont - just in the eastern edge of the state. This was just one of many small towns nearby including Hanover, New Hampshire, home of Dartmouth College. We had a very nice site on top of a hill. Unfortunately, Debbie had a cold most of the week we were there and did not get to enjoy it as much as she would have liked. John came down with it about the time we left.
John made a day trip through the Green Mountains to Middlebury to retrieve our mail and see the sights. He also did some biking alone while Deb recovered. Saw some great sights and took some good photos. Deb spent her days watching Animal Planet.
On Sunday we both drove to Woodstock, Vermont -- an upscale artist community and tourist town. It was beautiful with brillant foliage. Note: can you find the altered photo below?
Near Quechee is a fairly deep gorge which offers a spectacular view.
