TeachLSUS is Louisiana State University in Shreveport’s initiative to recruit, select, and train outstanding educators for our community’s classrooms. TeachLSUS is dedicated to preparing knowledgeable, skilled, and professional teachers. As a teacher candidate with the TeachLSUS Non-Master’s/Certification Only program, you can work as a full-time, salaried teacher while earning your Louisiana teaching certificate at your own pace. TeachLSUS prepares candidates who currently hold a baccalaureate degree and a minimum overall 2.5 g.p.a., for careers in the following areas:*

Elementary Education 1-5

Secondary Education 6-12

Special Education Mild/Moderate 1-12

The first information session will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 5-7, in the UC Caddo Bossier Room.
