How do I apply to the MSCP Program?
First, you must submit an application to graduate studies Requires the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Second, you must apply to be a candidate in the program Requires the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader upon completion of 12 hours .

What is the job outlook for a counselor?
The projections the government is making about the counseling profession are included on the following website. This URL, www.bls.gov/oco, is the address of the Occupational Outlook Handbook of the Bureau of Labor Statistics website. Once you get to the site just click on OOH Search/A-Z Index located in the upper right. Once you are at the OOH Search page type in counselor.

How do I become licensed as a professional counselor (LPC)?
In the state of Louisiana you must complete a 48 hour masters program in counseling. Then you must register with the licensing board and complete 3,000 post-master’s hours of counseling under a board approved supervisor. You must also pass the National Counselor Exam. There are 48 states that have counseling licensure laws. Go to each state licensure board to determine their requirements.
