Rhonda Failey received her Specialist in School Psychology degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in May 1999. She previously received her Master of Education degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She began teaching at LSUS in an adjunct capacity in 1998, and became a full-time instructor in August 1999. She is the coordinator of the university’s freshman orientation course, Psychology 100. She is the faculty advisor for the Society of Reason and co-advisor for the Psychology Club. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi (a scholastic honor society), Psi Chi (the national honor society for psychology) and Kappa Delta Pi (the national honor society for education). She was selected as SGA Professor of the year by the student body for 2000-2001 and 2001-2002. She was selected as Student Organization Council Advisor of the Year for 2000-2001. In 2002 she was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
