Dean's Welcome
Welcome to the College of Education and Human Development at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.

We are a college with one foot planted firmly in a successful past and the other stepping into a dynamic future, a college whose students are the central focus as they prepare for successful lives beyond the four walls of the classroom by acquiring the skills, knowledge, and dispositions needed to be productive contributors to the society of the future.

Our mission is to emphasize significant scholarly and outreach activities while focusing on building successful health, sport, and wellness professionals; teachers; administrators; counselors; school psychologists; and psychology majors in the departments of the college. A highly qualified faculty is dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience for our students. We take a special interest in our students and urge them to contact their advisors and instructors for assistance related to any question. Our goal is to support students with appropriate course selection and guidance to meet their career goals upon graduation.
