The LSUS
Small Business Development Center provides counseling
and training programs to over 400 small business owners annually.
The Center provides management assistance to existing and developing
businesses and conducts programs designed to meet the needs of the
economically disadvantaged.
The Louisiana
Consortium of Insurance and Financial Services at LSUS provides
educational programming for financial and insurance planning throughout
Louisiana.
The LSUS Center
for Business and Economic Research works with area Chambers
of Commerce and other organizations and businesses committed to
promoting business development. The Center has been designated as
a Census Information Center, one of only 59 in the country.
The Incumbent
Worker Training Program, coordinated with the Louisiana Department
of Labor and local businesses, has received more than $4 million
in grants to assist in developing employee skills and increasing
employee productivity and company growth.
The LSUS
Internship Program assists employers by providing opportunities
for currently enrolled students to work in local businesses as part
of their academic programs.
