LSUS is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools -- a distinction which means we are zealous in maintaining our high level of academic excellence. We are further strengthened by being one of nine institutions networked across the state within the LSU System. LSUS enrolls over 4,000 students in the four academic colleges of Business Administration, Education and Human Development, Science, and Liberal Arts. There are 38 undergraduate and 8 graduate programs to choose from. Although there are a few large lecture classes, most classes average only 21 students. Many of our students pursue their degrees while working full-time or part-time; therefore, we offer a wide range of morning, evening and weekend on-campus classes, as well as at several off-campus locations. LSUS also offers an impressive array of lifelong learning and professional development courses for our citizens and business and industry through our Division of Continuing Education and Public Service.
