Courses - Information Systems\Decision Sciences:
ISDS 150: Computer Tools in Business 3 cr.
A hands-on introduction to computer applications and the use of business-related software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management tools. Three hours of lecture and laboratory.

ISDS 250: Data Management and Software Application 3 cr.
Prerequisite: ISDS 150. A hands-on course focused on database management systems/software in organizations. Includes database control and protection; distributed databases; business-to-business use of the WWW; electronic data interchange; global information exchange; data warehousing and data mining. Three hours of lecture and laboratory.

ISDS 265: Business Statistics 3 cr.
Prerequisite: MATH 260. Advanced topics in statistics including analysis of variance, hypothesis testing, multiple regression, multinomial experiments and analysis of contingency tables and non-parametric statistics. Course will include use of statistical data analysis software and group projects. Three hours of lecture.

ISDS 350: Information Systems 3 cr.
Prerequisites: ISDS 150. A course to give the student an understanding of information systems (IS) by analyzing (1) the field of IS as it relates to business end users and (2) fundamental concepts used in the study of IS. Three hours of lecture.

ISDS 383: Production and Operations Management 3 cr.
Prerequisite: ISDS 265. A study of the application of managerial procedures to the production process. Special emphasis is given to facilities, personnel, and control of production. Includes application of the quantitative techniques of management science. Three hours of lecture.

ISDS 405: Spreadsheet Applications in Business 3 cr.
Prerequisite: ECON 201, ECON 202 and ISDS 150. Practical application of micro computers to business analysis. A comprehensive introduction to spreadsheets is followed by consideration of problems such as cost determination, ratio analysis, working capital management, capital budgeting and worksheet data base record analysis. Several types of spreadsheets and data base applications are then considered. Three hours of lecture.

ISDS 702: Quantitative Methods in Management 3 cr.
Mathematical techniques for management, statistical distributions and probability, statistical estimation and inference, regression analysis, forecasting techniques, analysis of variance, inventory models, linear programming, and network analysis. Three hours of lecture.

ISDS 705: Management Information Systems 3 cr.
Study of contemporary topics in information systems, to include: a survey of information system analysis and design; informatics; e-commerce; business data communication; database management systems and knowledge based systems; enterprise-wide systems; and information systems control. Three hours of lecture.
