WELCOME TO LSU SHREVEPORT CAREER SERVICES

LSU Shreveport Career Services offers comprehensive services for currently enrolled students and provides a professional link between students, alumni, and employers.

FOR STUDENTS

We provide comprehensive career services for currently enrolled students to assist students in the development of career plans and specific strategies leading to their desired career goal.  

  • Development of professional credentials: targeted resume, cover letter, references, and/or curriculum vitae
  • Assessment and career exploration
  • Career counseling and career coaching
  • Opportunity to participate in career fairs, on-campus interviews, workshops
  • Strategic planning for interview success
  • Career resource and computer lab located near LSU Shreveport Career Services
  • Access to LSUS Career Pilot:  online career networking tool for viewing part-time and full-time job and career opportunities, volunteer opportunities and internships
  • Connections to employers and graduate school

FOR EMPLOYERS

LSU Shreveport provides employers with an avenue to reach currently enrolled students, recent graduates and alumni. 

  • Post career opportunities, internships, part-time positions and volunteer opportunities directly through our online career networking system, LSUS Career Pilot
  • Participate in on-campus and regional college career fairs, on-campus workshops, classroom presentations, information sessions, on-campus interviews, and other career networking opportunities
  • Market and brand your organization or company on campus

 FOR ALUMNI

LSU Shreveport provides alumni limited career services based on availability of professional staff.  Currently this service is free.

  • Participate in career related events on-campus including career fairs, workshops and on-campus interviews
  • Post resumes and link to current postings from employers through LSUS Career Pilot
  • Resume critique by career services professionals based on availability
  • Use of assessment tool for career development and direction
