In 2006, Maddox has collected 10 homeruns and 55 RBI, and has his Pilots back in the Region XIII title hunt, and has claimed 1st-Team All-Region honors for the second consecutive season. |

The six team double elimination tournament bracket has been announced, and is highlighted by a Round 1 match-up between the No. 4 seeded LSUS Pilots (38-21) and the No. 3 seeded Lee University Flames (40-16). The host team, Auburn University-Montgomery (42-15) earned the No. 1 seed after capturing the Southern States Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship, and they will take on Berry College (33-24) who is coming in as the No. 6 seed after capturing the SSAC Conference Tournament Title. | The LSUS Pilots played host to the 2006 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament and used their home field advantage to claim their first GCAC Tournament Championship. The Pilots never trailed in the tournament and advanced to Saturday’s championship game by defeating the William Carey College Crusaders 11-2 Friday night. LSUS knocked off the No. 1 seeded Belhaven College Blazers 7-2 in the finals, and won the season series five games to two. The Pilots were 4-0 in the tourney and outscored their opponents 37-10 on the week.

| The LSUS Pilots defeated the University of Mobile Rams 6-4 to advance to the championship round of the NAIA Region XIII Baseball Tournament Friday afternoon at Pilots Field. The Pilots will play tonight against the winner of the game between Lee University and Auburn-Montgomery.

| After putting the LSUS Pilots down in order in the top of the first inning of their second-round game in the NAIA Region XIII Baseball Tournament Wednesday night, the Lee University Flames scored their first four batters and six of their first eight in the bottom of the first and never looked back as the Cleveland, Tenn., squad posted a 14-5 win.

| Pilots season opener versus Northwood University postponed (1/31/2005) |
| The LSUS Pilots were scheduled to open their 2005 season tomorrow versus the Northwood University Knights; however, due to poor weather conditions, the games have been rescheduled to Monday, March 28 at 2:00pm in Cedar Hills, Tx. It will be a single 9 inning ballgame. The Pilots will now look forward to February 9th to open their season when they will play host to Bacone College at Pilot Field. Game time is scheduled for 6:30pm.
