| Richard Peters began his education at the University of West Indies where he took 1st class honors in Chemistry and Management. He earned his MBA, Summa Cum Laude, with a concentration in organizational behavior from Pace University in 2003. Dr. Peters earned his doctorate from Florida Atlantic University in 2007 with a concentration in Strategic Management. Dr. Peters’ dissertation focused on an investigation of the strategic link between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and firm competitive advantage. Other research interests include the influence of personal values, organizational systems and environmental conditions on corporate social responsibility decision-making; cultural values as antecedents to individual corporate social responsibility orientation and as moderators to CSR-Firm performance relationships, and the effect of CEO compensation on corporate social reputation and firm competitive advantage. Dr. Peters has presented multiple papers to the Academy of Management, and his discussion of corporate social responsibility and human resources appears in the 4th edition of the textbook entitled, “Human Resource Management”, by H. John Bernardi, McGaw Hill Publishing. |
