Dr. Hays received his D.B.A. in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in August 2000. He also holds B.S., M.B.A. and M.P.A. degrees from Louisiana Tech. He is a licensed CPA (inactive status) in Louisiana. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. Prior to becoming an educator, he worked in industry and public accounting for thirty years, including seven years in the tax department of one of the then "Big Eight" accounting firms.
