Mary Lois White is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Florida State University in 2002, specializing in Industrial Organization and Public Finance. She also earned her M.S. in Economics (2001), a B.S. in Economics (1997), and a B. S. in International Affairs (1997) from Florida State University.
Dr. White’s research interests include economics education, health economics, and other areas of empirical microeconomics. She has recently presented at meetings of the Eastern Economic Association and the Southern Economic Association. She is a member of the American Economic Association and the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession. Although her primary area of teaching is business statistics, she also enjoys teaching a variety of economics courses.
