Dr. Brendler received his B.S. in Economics from Oklahoma State University in 1969, and earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University in 1977. Dr. Brendler joined the faculty of LSU in Shreveport in August of 1977.
Dr. Brendler's primary research interest revolves around how economic fluctuations affect income distribution in the state of Louisiana.

Dr. Brendler enjoys teaching courses in Microeconomic Theory, International Economics, and Labor Economics
