Welcome
to the Department of Economics and Finance. We offer
accredited bachelor degree programs in Finance, and
General Business Administration. Each of the programs
provides the flexibility to sample from the diverse
range of topical courses. All faculty in our department
are doctoral qualified and possess an excellent mixture
of practical experience, international experience,
and academic and applied research records.
The
department is home to the Oscar Cloyd Professorship of
Real Estate and the Kilpatrick Insurance and Financial
Services Professorship. Both are supported by local industry
and the university to promote excellence in teaching,
research, and service.
The
Student Finance Association provides an opportunity for
students to become involved in extra-curricular activities,
including meeting with and discussing career opportunities
with professional in finance, insurance and real estate.
Internships in Finance, Real Estate and Insurance are

The
Department of Economics and Finance mission is to
provide superior educational opportunities for our
students through effective instruction, relevant curricula,
and academic counseling; to engage in scholarly pursuits
that aid the continued profesional growth and development
of the faculty; and to actively participate in the
service activities for the University and the business
