Mr. Simon began his career with the College of Business Administration (CBA) at LSUS in Mr. Simon began his career with the College of Business, Education, and Human Services at LSUS in March of 2008 working with faculty and students in our Accounting Lab. He soon after accepted a position as an Instructor of Accounting and Director of the Business School Internship Program. In 2009, Mr. Simon was selected by the LSUS Student Government Association as one of the university's "Top 20 Professors" for academic year 2008-2009. In addition, he was recognized by his peers and the administration of the Business School, receiving the "2009 Outstanding Faculty Award for Special Services".
Mr. Simon is a CPA and a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA where he received his MBA in finance. Prior to attaining his MBA, he attended La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA where he received his BS in accounting. Mr. Simon began his professional career in the field of public accounting, then went on to hold management positions in accounting, finance, and operations with various casino and hotel companies in New Jersey, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Louisiana during his 17-year career in the gaming business. He was most recently CFO of the Sam's Town property in Shreveport prior to joining the faculty at LSUS.
