WAXAHACHIE, Tex. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots dug themselves an early hole but rallied in the second half to defeat Wayland Baptist University 54-50 on Friday night on the campus of Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Women's Basketball: Lady Pilots return to top 25 polls
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots find themselves in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 poll for the first time in team history. The Lady Pilots will begin the new season ranked 19th. The LSUS women are making their first appearance in the top 25 polls since they were last ranked on February 9, 2009.

Lady Pilots picked to finish 2nd by RRAC Coaches
WACO, Texas -- Defending conference champion Langston University (Okla.) emerged as the top selection in the 2012-13 Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Poll by the slimmest of margins. The Lady Lions edged LSU Shreveport by one point in the voting by RRAC head coaches. Both teams received four first-place votes. Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) and Texas Wesleyan University were picked to finish third and fourth.

Lady Pilots set for new season
SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots basketball looks to have another promising year since the majority of last year's team returns to the court. The season tips-off on the road at SAGU for a pair of games with Wayland Baptist and Dallas Christian College beginning on November 9 and 10.
