Broussard named NWLA FCA Female Athlete of the Year
SHREVEPORT, La. - LSU Shreveport's women's basketball player Amelia Broussard was chosen by a committee from the Northwest Louisiana's chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as Christian Athlete of the Year. Each year the committee selects a male and female for the award in three different levels: middle school, high school and college.

Henry named Louisiana's Newcomer of the Year
RUSTON, La. - LSU Shreveport's Sharde Henry was named Louisiana's Newcomer of the Year by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association as well as named to the Second Team. Henry was also chosen as the Red River Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year. She averaged 14.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and recorded seven double doubles on the season. Henry was named an NAIA honorable mention All-American and the RRAC Newcomer of the Year.

Henry selected as NAIA All-American
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Division I Women's Basketball All-America teams. Players were selected by the All-America committee as LSU Shreveport's Sharde Henry was selected to the honorable mention team.

Two Lady Pilots earn Scholar Athlete honor
FRANKFORT, Ky. - The NAIA has announced that 127 Division I Women's Basketball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Amanda Fontenot and Amelia Broussard represents LSU Shreveport on the list of distinguished athletes.

Lady Pilots fall in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament
FRANKFORT, Ky. - Brittany Roberts recorded 22 points and a career-high 12 assists, while Kelsey Canavan posted her 11th double-double of the season to lead Lubbock Christian past LSU Shreveport, 79-55, in first round action at the 2012 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship presented by Kentuckytourism.com on Thursday afternoon.
