Women's Basketball: Henry claims another RRAC POW Award

WACO, Texas -- Sharde Henry of LSU Shreveport emerged as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of Jan. 28-Feb. 3. This is the 14th weekly award of the 2012-13 season and Henry's 4th selection.
Henry, a senior forward from Lake Charles, La., contributed 25 points and nine rebounds to propel the Lady Pilots to a 77-76 victory at 17th-ranked Wiley College (Texas) on Saturday. Henry made 10-of-16 shots from the field including a pair of three-pointers as LSUS moved into a tie for second place in the RRAC at 12-2. The Lady Pilots are 17-3 overall.
Amber Arceneaux-Francis of the University of St. Thomas (Texas), Takoia Larry of Texas Wesleyan University, and Treshenia Solomon of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) were additional nominees.
