Wiley College Defeats Lady Pilots 68-59

Shreveport, La.- The Lady Pilots fell to Wiley College at home on the second day of the Lady Pilots Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Freshmen Whitney Hollins and Callie Davis each finished with 13 points in the contest to lead the Lady Pilots. Janai Sells also recorded her second consecutive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
LSUS trailed just 25-21 heading into the break after shooting just 26 percent from the field in the first half.
Wiley extended their lead out to a fourteen points with just under ten minutes left in the game, but the Lady Pilots would rally to cut the Wildcat lead down to just four points with two minutes remaining in the contest.
With just under two minutes left in the game, Wiley connected on their only three-point basket of the game, giving them a seven-point lead and essentially control of the contest.
The Lady Pilots were doomed at the charity stripe today, shooting a dismal 10-for-21 for the game.
LSUS finished the first half of the season with a 4-5 record, and they will have a 13 day break before facing Nortwestern State on December 29.
