June 25, 2012
SHREVEPORT, La. - It did not take long for a couple of professional baseball teams to pick a pair of for LSU Shreveport Pilots. The Amarillo Sox snagged one of the top Pilot starting pitchers from the 2012 season as they signed Matt Lackie a few weeks ago. Jake Kight signed a contract today with the Edinburg Road Runners of the United League.
Lackie has already made two relief appearances for Amarillo while Kight will leave tomorrow for Edinburg, Texas, to join the Road Runners at home as they begin a four-game series with the Abilene Prairie Dogs.
