Seven run 7th inning leads Pilots to 9-7 victory over Wildcats

Shreveport, LA---The LSUS Pilots rallied from a 7-2 deficit by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the 7th inning leading them to a 9-7 victory over the Louisiana College Wildcats Tuesday night at Pilot Field.
Kyle Mace came off the bench and collected a bases loaded 2 RBI single to left-center field which was followed by Dustin Bissonnette’s fourth hit of the game which scored two more as the Pilots went on to score seven runs in the bottom of the seventh, leading them to a 9-7 victory over the Wildcats to improve to 20-5 on the year.
Jeremy Chabot (1-0) completed a scoreless seventh inning to become the pitcher of record to collect his first win of the season. Bissonnette finished 4-5 at the plate with 2 RBI and a stolen base to lead the Pilots offense.
Ryan Reeves led the Wildcats offense going 2-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
The Pilots will be in action again this weekend when they will travel to New Orleans to take on Loyola University. The Pilots are currently tied for first in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference with the University of Mobile Rams at 9-3 in conference play.
