Series tied 1-1 after 6-4 win by Gold Team

LSUS Gold jumped out early on the Blue Team and held on for a 6-4 win, evening the Pilot World Series at one game apiece. Daniel Welch, Matt Clayman, and Chris Marks combined on the mound to hold Pilot Blue in check. Pilot Gold banged out 12 hits with sophomore Brian Arnold pacing the Gold attack with 4 hits. Tyler Williams led Pilot Blue with three RBI’s.
Pilot Gold can give a lot of their credit to their defense in game 2; after seven errors in game one Gold bounced back by turning two double plays. Gold right-fielder David McGhee also chipped in with two nice plays in the outfield.
Game 3 is scheduled for 2:45 pm on Friday.
