Porter Named NAIA Co-Player of the Year

Shreveport, La. - LSUS senior guard Josh Porter continues to rack up postseason honors as he was selected as the 2007-08 Basketball Times NAIA Division 1 Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Year today.

Porter was named to the NAIA All-America First Team earlier this week as selected by the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Association All-America Committee.  In addition, Porter also picked up the same honor on the 2008 NABC/State Farm NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Team.

Porter, the 2008 GCAC Player of the Year, led the Pilots in scoring average this season with 22 points per game.  Porter also helped the Pilots win a school-record 31 games this season, including the GCAC regular season and tournament championships.

Porter finished his career at LSUS with 1,430 points (20.1 PPG), while compiling a 63-8 record in a Pilots uniform.
