Pilots Sweep Sunday's Doubleheader Versus Mobile

Shreveport, La. - The LSUS Pilots picked up a pair of wins in Sunday's doubleheader versus the Mobile Rams, winning game one 10-5 and game two 9-8.
Pitcher John James recorded his team-best eighth win of the season in the first contest, throwing six strong innings for the home team.
Senior Brent Lavallee continued his onslaught of conference opponents at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a homerun and five RBIs to lead the Pilots offensively.
Andrew Brouillette also added two hits in three RBIs in the win.
In game two, LSUS and Mobile were tied at 8 in the bottom of the eighth when sophomore Chase Wentz launched a homerun over the fence for the eventual game-winning hit and run.
Brouillette carried the load offensively for the Pilots in second game of the twin-bill with a homerun and five RBIs.
Richard Pharr pitched the final 1.2 innings, and did not allow a single batter he faced to reach base, while picking up his second win of the season.
LSUS improved to 26-3 overall and 19-1 in GCAC action with the two wins.
The Pilots will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to take on Southern Arkansas in Magnolia.
