Pilots rained out at SAU
April 04, 2012
MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Today's game versus the no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the Southern Arkansas Muleriders has been rained out. The game was originally scheduled to begin tonight, April 4, in Magnolia at 6 p.m. but yesterday's storms dumped enough precipitation on Mulerider Field to cancel today's contest. No makeup date has been announced but both teams are attempting to reschedule the game.
The NAIA's top team in the nation will return home to Pilot Field after seven-straight road games where the Pilots hold a perfect 7-0 record in those games. LSUS (30-3) will take on the University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars (11-20) at 6 p.m. Friday night and then conclude the series on Saturday with a 1 p.m. double header. LSUS swept a double header form the Jags earlier in the season in Victoria taking game one by a final score of 3-1 and then 12-1 in the night cap.
LSUS enters the weekend series having won 11-games in a row while UHV have lost three of their last five games including splitting a four-game series with UT-Brownsville last weekend.
