Pilots play host to 4-0 Rams Saturday night at The Dock

The LSUS Pilots will look to take a big step towards defending their 2005 and 2006 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular season championships Saturday night as they will host the first place University of Mobile Rams. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.

Series: The LSUS Pilots are 4-2 against the University of Mobile Rams. UM won the first ever contest between the two teams 89-80 in 2004. Mobile is one of five teams who have won at Dock; they defeated the Pilots 108-101 January 15, 2005. LSUS swept the Rams in 2006 with 94-67 and 81-79 victories.

Most Recently: The Pilots managed to respond from a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference home opening loss at the hands of Spring Hill College by taking two game on the road over Dillard University and Xavier University this past weekend, and currently sit in 4th place in the GCAC at 2-1; 11-2 overall.

The Rams come to The Dock sporting a five game win streak and sit on top of the GCAC at 4-0; 10-6 overall. UM has defeated Loyola, Belhaven, Tougaloo, and Xavier.

Streaks: LSUS has posted a 44-10 overall record against GCAC opponents since 2003. The Pilots are 37-5 at The Dock since 2003; 25-5 against GCAC opponents. LSUS has out rebounded their opponent in six straight games, and have scored 80+ points in eight straight games.

UM has allowed 71+points only three times this season. The Rams have held opponents under 72 points in seven straight games. UM has scored 80+ points only four times this season.
