Pilots pick up 11-4 win over Yellow Jackets

The LSUS Pilots picked up 4 runs in the second inning and 4 more in the third to take an early 8-0 over the LeTourneau University Yellow Jackets Wednesday afternoon. The Pilots went on to win their 27th game of the season by a final score of 11-4.

Wesley Cromer gets credit with the win pitching 2 shutout innings and picking up 2 strikeouts to make him 3-0 on the season.

Dustin Bissonnette singled with two outs and the bases loaded in the second which drove in two runs and then added a bases loaded loaded double in the third to give him 5 RBI on the day. Bissonnette finished the game 3-5 with 5 RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Teammate Andy Mills also picked up 3 hits in 5 attempts and scored 3 of the Pilots 11 runs. Pilot senior Thomas McMannis was 1-3 with a third inning solo homerun, his team leading 7th of the season.

The Pilots are now idle until Monday when they will travel to Dallas, TX to take on Texas Weslyn University in a double-header. The Pilots will then return home to take on the Northwood University Knights Tuesday at Pilot Field in a double-header beginning at 4:00pm.
