Pilots land three on All-RRAC Teams

WACO, Texas - Derrick Parker was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year in the Red River Athletic Conference while the Pilots added two more on the All-RRAC teams.

Parker, a senior forward from Minden, Louisiana, was named to the First Team while Greg Shyne, a senior guard, another Minden native was also a First Team selection. Parker led the NAIA with 2.9 blocks per game and 362 total rebounds. He also ranks in the top nine in all rebounding categories and averaged a double-double for the third season in a row with 19.4 points per game and 11.3 boards per contest. Shyne led the Pilots in scoring with 20.3 points per game and is 9th in the NAIA with 650 points.

Isiah Bazile, a senior guard from Houston, Texas, was named to the Second Team. Bazile added 9.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game and for the third straight season he collected more than 100 assists with a career high 130.

The no. 14 Pilots had already punched their ticket for an eighth consecutive year to Kansas City for the Buffalo Funds NAIA National Tournament when they claimed their seventh consecutive conference tournament championship on Monday night with a 111-101 win over no. 7 Our Lady of the Lake. The opponent and game time will be announced tomorrow, March 7th.
