Pilots jump two spots in latest national poll

April 13, 2005

Shreveport, LA---The LSUS Pilots have rolled off 9 wins in their last 11 games to improve to 32-10 overall which includes a 17-4 record in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. The Pilots success of late has also elevated them to their highest ranking of the year as the NAIA Baseball Polls were release Wednesday afternoon which saw the Pilots jump two spots to #12.

The Pilots 17-4 record has them three games ahead of the second place University of Mobile Rams (14-7). These two teams will match-up this weekend at Pilot Field for a three game series. LSUS has the potential to clinch their first ever GCAC title with a three game sweep over the Rams. Game one is scheduled for Friday night at 6:30pm at Pilot Field, with games two and three beginning Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.
